MBC to Air Black College Sports

Major Broadcasting Cable Network will telecast several college-basketball
games from two black college conferences.

MBC will televise a combined six regular-season games from the Central
Intercollegiate Athletic Association and Southwestern Athletic Conference
beginning in February and running through April.

College-basketball fans will also see complete game coverage of the CIAA
tournament in Raleigh, N.C., and the SWAC tournament in Birmingham, Ala.

MBC will wrap up its college-basketball schedule with live coverage of the
Black College All-Star Game in Baltimore.

'MBC Network provides a great extension of my commitment to support
historical black colleges and universities, and airing live black college sports
games will ultimately enhance college sports programs and increase enrollment,'
MBC chairman and CEO and civil-rights attorney Willie E. Gary said in a prepared
statement.
