Discovery Networks U.S. senior vice president of distribution and marketing
strategy Lori McFarling was named general manager of Discovery Digital Networks
Reporting to content-group president John Ford, McFarling succeeds Charlie
Humbard, who left last summer.
A 13-year Discovery veteran, McFarling has spearheaded the affiliate marketing efforts for the company's domestic cable networks. Those efforts
included promotional tie-ins and other ways for affiliates to promote their
digital cable and other new products and services.
Prior to her Discovery years, McFarling held sales and marketing positions at
C-SPAN and Procter & Gamble Co.
