World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. has selected New York-based The Media Kitchen to be its media agency of record, the company said Wednesday.
Media Kitchen will handle planning and placement of traditional and alternative media on both the national and regional level, including consumer and trade advertising. Billings are estimated to be $8 million annually.
The wrestling organization’s in-house creative team will continue to develop all creative executions across media platforms, WWE said.
WWE said the agency’s initial assignment will be support of its weekly television programs: Monday Night Raw, which airs on Spike TV at 9 p.m. (EST); and WWE SmackDown!, on UPN at 8 p.m. (EST) Thursdays.
Media Kitchen will also focus on promoting pay-per-view events.
