Mediacom Introduces International Channels

Mediacom Communications said it will offer a suite of foreign language programming across its footprint in the coming weeks.

The new options will feature Filipino, French, German, Italian, Korean, Russian, South-Asian and Vietnamese programming and can be purchased à la carte by any Mediacom customer subscribing to the Local Plus TV or higher tier of video service. These additional foreign language options will be in addition to Mediacom’s Canales Latinos package, which launched in 2013.

“The United States is one of the most culturally diverse nations in the world, and we want to offer a channel lineup that reflects and embraces that diversity,” said Mediacom EVP of programming and human resources Italia Commisso Weinand in a statement. “These new foreign language programming options offered on an à la carte basis give Mediacom customers a simple, affordable and customizable way to view their favorite international movies, news, sports, soap operas and family entertainment.”
