Mediaware Corp. said Monday that Time Warner Cable is using its digital-video-editing and processing technology for the MSO’s “Start Over” network digital-video-recorder project.
Start Over enables the operator’s digital-cable customers to pause and rewind live TV, as well as to restart shows that are already in progress, without the purchase of additional hardware or software.
“We are pleased to be a part of such an important project with Time Warner,” Mediaware CEO Chris Newell said in a prepared statement. “This service has the potential to reshape how people watch TV, and our technology is a critical enabler of its successful deployment. Video-on-demand is an increasingly important market for us, and as Start Over rolls out nationwide, we expect to see significant revenue growth from this project, as well as other VOD efforts.”
