The WB11, The WB Television Network’s New York affiliate, will air up to 25 New York Mets Major League Baseball games per season beginning in 2006 following a deal with SportsNet New York.

The regional sports network -- owned by the team, Time Warner Cable and Comcast Corp. -- said, “The arrangement provides a consistent weekend baseball schedule, as well as unparalleled promotional opportunities for SportsNet New York and the New York Mets through a variety of on-air, print and Web-site promotions.”

SportsNet New York will produce all of The WB11’s Mets games.

“We’re thrilled to have The WB11 return as the official broadcast home of the New York Mets,” SportsNet New York president Jon Litner said in a prepared statement. “The WB11 has partnered with the Mets since 1999, and we’re excited to build on that relationship, as well as to provide a consistent over-the-air home for Mets fans to watch their favorite team.”
