Word Network programming covers a broad range of demographics, from teens and young adults who are interested in contemporary gospel music to families seeking values consistently presented in a positive way. It also caters to slightly more mature urban populations that relate to many of the popular local, regional and national ministers. The goal of the network is to feature urban ministries, gospel music, live church conventions and behind-the-scenes specials and events.

The Word Network features ministries including T.D. Jakes, Charles H. Ellis III, Paul S. Morton, Zachery Tims, Dr. Juanita Bynum and Frederick K.C. Price. Its gospel music programming includes concerts by Jay Moss, Kirk Franklin, Gospel Superfest, Fred Hammond, CeCe Winans, Gospel Extravaganza and the Gospel Truth Awards, plus the daily variety show “Bobby Jones Presents,” which highlights new and emerging gospel artists. In addition, the weekly show “Rainbow Push With Jesse Jackson” gives the Rev. Jackson an opportunity to spread the Word of God and to discuss social, racial and economic justice issues.

The Word Network also provides coverage of national conventions and conferences including the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Church of God In Christ—Holy Convocation, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Power Networking Conference/Town Hall Meeting and the Soul Winners Conference.
