Miley Cyrus Nabbed as MTV VMA Host

MTV has tapped Miley Cyrus to host the MTV Video Music Awards, the singer announced via Twitter Monday.

Cyrus, who has stirred up controversy on past VMA shows with her risque musical performances, won last year's Video Of The Year award for her controversial video Wrecking Ball. 

The show, which will air Aug. 30, will feature the best in music video performances for the year. The VMA nominations will be made tomorrow on Apple Music's Beats 1 Chart Show, according to MTV.
