Millennium To Sport New Name: Broadstripe

Millennium Digital Media, the cable operator based outside of St. Louis, will soon have a new moniker: Broadstripe.

Effective Monday, Oct. 1, Millennium will start doing business as Broadstripe in the states of Michigan, Washington and Oregon, according to officials familiar with the situation.

The cable operator, with 120,000 subscribers, will wait until early next year to roll out the new name at its systems in Maryland.

The tagline on the new name is “Broadstripe: We’re on a Mission.”

Millennium, based in Chesterfield, Mo., has new investors and new management, and is looking to put a fresh cast on the company.

Earlier this month Millennium announced that Kelvin Westbrook, one of the company’s founders and its chairman, would be leaving Oct. 5. The company a year ago hired Bill Schreffler, a former Charter Communications executive, as CEO.
