Net2Phone Inc. said it signed a five-year deal with Millennium Digital Media to supply the 128,000-subscriber MSO with voice-over-Internet-protocol telephony equipment and services.
Millennium -- which serves subscribers in Maryland, Michigan, Washington and Oregon -- plans to roll out VoIP service in the first quarter of 2005 with a feature set that will include call waiting, caller ID, voice mail and online account-management tools.
"Net2Phone's ability to respond to our aggressive deployment timetable with a flexible, cost-effective solution made them the right partner for us," Millennium CEO Kelvin Westbrook said.
Although most of the service will be outsourced to Net2Phone, Millennium will provide customer service and technical support.
Also, Millennium has enrolled in Net2Phone's warrant-incentive program, allowing it to earn warrant grants to purchase shares of common stock.
