'Miss USA Pageant' Tops Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings

Reelz network’s telecast of the Trump Organization-owned 2015 Miss USA Pageant Sunday night generated more Twitter usage than any cable and broadcast show for the night, according to Nielsen.

The pageant, which Reelz picked up two weeks ago after NBC and Univision dropped the TV rights over remarks presidential candidate Donald Trump made disparaging Mexicans, drew a unique audience of 2.4 million Twitter users, according to Nielsen. HBO’s True Detective was second with 1 million unique users. VH1’s Basketball Wives LA, MTV’s 2015 MTV Fandom Awards and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta rounded out the top five shows for the night.

Miss Oklahoma Olivia Jordan was crowned Miss USA 2015 during the event, which Trump did not attend.
