Mobile Unscripted TV Becomes a Reality

Fox Reality and 2waytraffic USA said Tuesday that they will create a new subscription service for mobile-phone users.

The Fox Networks Group-owned channel and the interactive-content developer and producer will enable cellular-phone subscribers of all the major U.S. carriers to access daily recaps of unscripted television series, participate in exclusive sweepstakes and receive immediate casting-call information.

The two companies said they expect the service to debut this spring.

“Millions of people indulge themselves in reality television, making it one of our most sincere pleasures," Fox Reality vice president of business and operations Ed Skolarus said in a prepared statement. "This new service will enable these same legions of fans to engage their unscripted passions unfettered, anytime and anywhere.”
