Monk Ratings Reign Redux


New York - USA Network's Monk has kept its crown
as the highest-rated original scripted series on basic cable for the second year
in a row, officials said Tuesday.

Overall, Monk's second season averaged a 3.4 household rating, a 5%
gain over the first season.

The show garnered a 2.2 for viewers 18-to-54 and a 1.7 for viewers 18-

This season, Monk's final episode did a 3.9 rating, a 2.2 for
25-to-54 and a 1.7 for 18-to-49.

Household ratings were up 23% compared with the first season's finale.

More than 4.4 million viewers in 3.3 million homes tuned in for the
Monk finale, compared with 4.3 million viewers in 2.7 million homes the
first season.
