Underlining its commitment to original series, Lifetime Television has
ordered five additional episodes of its freshman Saturday-night dramas,
1-800-MISSING and Wild Card.
Since premiering Aug. 2, 1-800-MISSING, starring Gloria Reuben, and
Wild Card, starring Joely Fisher, have averaged 2.6 and 2.4 household
ratings, respectively, according to the network.
"With these two series so emblematic of Lifetime's commitment to quality
dramas, we could not wait to show our belief in and dedication to them. They
have clearly demonstrated our continued strengths with original programming,"
said Barbara Fisher, executive vice president of entertainment for Lifetime
Entertainment Services, in a prepared statement.
"1-800-MISSING and Wild Card have made Saturday, our newest
night of originals, a success," she added.
