Liberate Technologies announced that it's expanding its relationship with Two
Way TV Ltd. by licensing more core intellectual property from the interactive-TV
Two Way TV's software allows viewers to join broadcast game shows or sporting
events and vote, interact with ads or do on-screen betting.
U.K.-based Two Way TV works with program providers and broadcasters to bring
synched interactive-TV applications, such as Sky Sports' 'Sky Play Football,'
the British Broadcasting Corp.'s 'Antiques Roadshow' and Flextech plc's
Liberate chief strategy officer David Limp said the deal means that operators
will have increased control over TV-synched applications and programmers will
have better control over their content streams.
