Motorola, WorldGate Extend Partnership

Cable-systems provider Motorola Inc. and interactive TV's WorldGate
Communications Inc. will ramp up their partnership to develop services for a
range of digital set-top boxes.

WorldGate -- which has been taking part in Motorola's Horizon Developer
Program for three years -- signed a multiyear extension contract to create
interactive services on Motorola's 'DCT-1000,' 'DCT-2000,' 'DCT-2500' and
high-definition 'DCT-5100' set-top boxes.

As part of the Horizon program, WorldGate has already had 22 interactive-TV
products and applications approved for use on Motorola systems, and it is
working on yet another release now.

'WorldGate has been releasing quality ITV products with Motorola since the
beginning of our digital deployment,' said Carl McGrath, Motorola's corporate
vice president and general manager of digital-consumer-gateways business.

'WorldGate has clearly demonstrated its innovation, quality and reliability,
and we're pleased to be extending our relationship,' he added.
