Women in Cable & Telecommunications announced Thursday that it will
relocate from Chicago to Washington, D.C., in the first quarter of 2003

WICT president Benita Fitzgerald Mosley cited the city's proximity to the
organization's key sponsors, supporters and related industry organizations as
the primary reason for the move.

"WICT had been considering the move for quite some time, and the planning
sessions we conducted during the recent strategic advancement initiative led us
to this final decision," Bravo Networks president and chair of the WICT
Foundation board of trustees Kathy Dore said in a release.

The organization was founded in Washington in 1979.
