MSG Plus Commemorates Blyleven, Alomar Enshrinement With 'Halls Of Fame' Marathon

Publish date:

MSG Plus on Satruday will salute the newest members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame with shows about them as part of a marathon of profiles on other legends already enshrined in Cooperstown.
Commemorating the induction of Bert Blyleven and Roberto Alomar in the hallowed hall on Sunday, MSG Plus on July 23 will air 19 episodes of sister service's MSG original series, Halls of Fame, during which host Fran Healy travels the country to speak to some of the world's most prominent athletes.
The first pitch on the Halls marathon starts at 12:30 p.m. with class of 1984 inductee Harmon Killebrew, who passed away in May, taking Healy on a tour of the Hall of Fame in 1990, when they discussed the legacies of some of the greatest ballplayers of all-time.
The marathon's lineup also includes episodes with Johnny Bench, Rickey Henderson, George Brett, Ozzie Smith, Nolan Ryan, Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Phil Rizzuto and Willie Mays.
The final two episodes feature the 2011 inductees, with the Blyleven and Alomar installments set for 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively.
