Microsoft Corp.’s MSN division is ending a two-year digital-subscriber-line
deal with BellSouth Corp.
Under terms of the deal, MSN leased DSL lines from the regional Bell
operating company and resold them under the MSN brand.
The move is part of Microsoft’s plan to focus on its MSN Internet-browsing
software and services.
MSN plans to exit a similar deal with SBC Communications Inc., group product
manager Lisa Gurry told AP Friday. The company has already terminated
arrangements with Qwest Communications International Inc. and Verizon
