MSNBC Hires GOP's Keyes

MSNBC said Monday former Republican presidential candidate Alan Keyes has
signed on to host a new one-hour weeknight talk show, beginning Jan. 21.

Alan Keyes Is Making Sense will replace MSNBC Investigates and
other long-form programs, which will continue to run on the weekend.

Keyes will add a conservative voice to MSNBC's talent pool, which includes
Chris Matthews, a former speechwriter for President Jimmy Carter.

Keyes is a two-time presidential candidate, who ran most recently in the 2000
election.

Keyes worked during the Reagan Administration in the U.S. Foreign Service and
on the National Security Council.

He also hosts a nationally syndicated radio program, the Alan Keyes Show:
America's Wake-Up Call
