MSNBC.com (www.msnbc.msn.com) launched MSNBC Classifieds (classifieds.msnbc.com) Monday.

The Web site is offering classified ads in six categories: jobs, real estate, cars, personals, travel and merchandise.

The ads come from high-profile Internet partners such as CareerBuilder.com (www.careerbuilder.com), Cars.com (www.cars.com), eBay Inc. (www.ebay.com), HomeGain.com Inc. (www.homegain.com), Match.com LP (www.match.com) and Expedia.com (www.expedia.com/daily/home).

“The classifieds are one area of print news that has not yet made the boundary-free leap to the Internet,” MSNBC.com general manager and publisher Charlie Tillinghast said in a prepared statement.

“MSNBC classifieds will let users quickly search the entire Internet community, and not just their own backyards,” he added.
