Those revenue guarantees Wink Communications Inc. has given to MSOs in
exchange for carriage -- up to $5 per subscriber, per year -- have apparently
been tough to make in a poor ad market.
The interactive-TV vendor said Tuesday that it cut a deal with 'several key
partners to eliminate over $22 million of cash liabilities in 2002 and
Wink didn't say which companies cut it a break, and it didn't return a call
by press time.
