MTV: Music Television has approved a new show from Andy Dick and picked up a fifth season of a favorite.
The music and youth-culture service will bow The Apprentice to Top Model to The Bachelor, an eight-episode parody series of the reality genre, July 12 at 10:30 p.m.
Starring as himself, Dick will put his protégés through the paces of his daily life filled with menial tasks, outrageous requests and nonstop humiliation, according to network executives. The payoff: The winner receives a job at a Hollywood entertainment production company, a brand-new car and a new wardrobe
Meanwhile, season five of Made is in the works, with a fall debut scheduled.
Through the first three episodes of the current season, Made -- which chronicles the challenges and triumphs individuals experience in making internal and external changes in their lives -- has been on a ratings roll. The season is on pace to be the strongest of the four among viewers 12-34, according to network officials.
