TVN Entertainment has reached a multiyear deal with MTV Networks and BET Networks to support the video-on-demand offerings of their various brands.
Under the agreement, MTVN and BETN will use TVN's full suite of on-demand services including the Adoniss 2 asset management system and TVN's asset-management tool that lets programmers make real-time changes to metadata post-pitch.
TVN also will provide advanced services testing, metadata modifications and ad-supported and transactional content, as well as operator- and market-specific content across its North American footprint.
"As we've expanded the volume and complexity of our VOD offering, TVN has become an integral part of our process, allowing us to serve our distribution partners' needs and provide the viewing experience our customers demand," said Melody Tan, senior vice president of strategy and business operations, content distribution and marketing, for MTVN and BETN.
TVN's 130 distribution partners include Comcast, Cox Communications, Charter Communications and DirecTV.
