MTV Networks International will make its high-definition mark later this month.
MTVHD is scheduled to launch Sept. 15 in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden, presenting over 300 hours of music and other programming monthly. Unlike MTV's earlier launches of networks in local languages, MTVNHD will air shows in English initially.
France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UK, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela are slated to receive the HD service by year-end.
At the outset, the production and delivery of shows will originate from Warsaw; a similar facility in on tap for Buenos Aires, which will feed Latin America.
