MTV’s VMA Talent List Keeps Growing


MTV: Music Television has expanded the talent list for its 2004 MTV Video Music Awards yet again.

The network said Wednesday that Shaquille O’Neal, Brandy, Nick Lachey, Shakira, Evanescence’s Amy Lee, Mase, Beastie Boys, John Mellencamp, Omarion and Queen Latifah will appear.

They join the previously announced list ofJennifer Lopez, Hilary Duff, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jimmy Fallon, Will Smith, Paris Hilton, Lenny Kravitz, Tony Hawk, Ludacris, Ashlee Simpson, LL Cool J, Jon Stewart and P. Diddy.

And OutKast and Polyphonic Spree have been added to the list of performers, which already included Nelly featuring Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Usher, Kanye West, Yellowcard, Lil’ Jon, Jet, Petey Pablo, Hoobastank, Ying Yang Twins, Terror Squad featuring Fat Joe and Jessica Simpson.

The 2004 VMAs will air live from AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami Sunday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. (EST), with West Coast viewers getting a tape-delayed feed, also at 8 p.m.
