MTV2 To Air Lingerie Football League Content

MTV2 will offer football fans a different take on the sport with coverage of the Lingerie Football League beginning Sept. 3.

The network will air LFL Presents: Friday Night Football on MTV2, a 20-episode, male-targeted series that will present weekly highlights from the LFL, a 10-team league in which bikini-clad atlhetic models play a 7-on-7 full-contact tackle football game.

The LFL is a takeoff of the annual Lingerie Bowl, a counter-programming stunt which runs during the halftime of the National Football League's Super Bowl game. Each week, viewers will be able to check out all the "hard-hitting moments" from the week's featured LFL game, according to MTV2 officials.

"We are excited to partner with the Lingerie Football League to bring all the feminine ferocity of 'Friday Night Football' to MTV2 every week," said Eric Conte, senior vice president of programming and production for MTV2 in a statement. "We are eager to build upon all the excitement that the LFL and its hardcore fanbase have generated to date to deliver fast-paced head turning programming that fits perfectly within MTV2 fall programming slate."
