MTV2 to Turn On 'Love'

It might not be the Summer of Love, but MTV2 Sept. 21 will provide its
viewers with '24 Hours of Love' -- as in Courtney Love.

The rock star and actress will take over MTV2 for a full day of live
programming, according to network officials. Love's reign will emanate from MTV:
Music Television's studios in Times Square in Manhattan.

From inviting friends to stop in and playing the videos she wants to
explaining various episodes in rock history, it will be all Love, all the
time.

In addition, MTV will air regular updates throughout the
day to keep fans informed of Love's activities on its spinoff network, while she
will also participate in a live chat room on MTV2.com (http://www.mtv.com/onair/mtv2/

).

'Courtney's fans are some of the most dedicated and enthusiastic in music,'
MTV/MTV2 senior vice president of music and talent Tom Calderone said in a
prepared statement. 'MTV2 is the ultimate place for fans and their favorite
artists to connect, and we are happy to give Courtney's fans '24 Hours of
Love.''

Love was the leader singer of now-defunct band Hole and the widow of Kurt
Cobain, leader of alternate rock giants Nirvana. She has also appeared in such
films as Man on the Moon, 200 Cigarettes and The People vs.
Larry Flynt
