MTVN Acquires Campus Network

Looking to more directly address a core audience constituency, MTV Networks
has acquired College Television Network from CTN Media Group.

Sources pegged the purchase price at $15 million.

CTN -- which currently reaches some 8.2 million students weekly on 750 U.S.
college campuses -- offers a mix of music, news, sports and college-specific
programming targeted to 18- through 24-year-olds, MTVN representatives said.

The network will also provide news and sports programming specifically for
college students as part of partnerships with sister companies CBS News and CBS
Sports.

The agreement follows publisher J2 Communications' National Lampoon's recent
acquisition of CTN rival Burly Bear Network from Broadway Video and
Constellation Films.
