MTV Networks has promoted Jason Hirschhorn to the newly created position of chief digital officer.
Hirschhorn had been MTVN’s senior vice president of digital music and media.
In his new role, he will be responsible for creating and implementing cross-company strategies for growing existing and future brands across all existing and emerging digital platforms.
Hirschhorn will also coordinate the business, product development and technical operations of MTVN’s expanding portfolio of digital-media businesses, while overseeing new acquisitions in the interactive space, as well as working with corporate development and each brand on all merger, acquisition, new-business and integration efforts.
He reports directly to MTVN chairman and CEO Judy McGrath.
