MTV Networks has promoted Kevin Arrix to executive vice president of digital advertising sales, overseeing operations for online and mobile advertising across all of the company's properties, including MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central.
Arrix, who will continue to be based in New York, will report to MTVN chief operating officer Rich Eigendorff, who called Arrix a "smart and seasoned salesperson, and a consummate leader."
"As we look toward 2010, the mandate is to capitalize on our traffic and deliver scalable premium ad experiences for our marketing partners," Eigendorff added. "With Kevin at the helm, our brands have the right people to do it."
In his new role, Arrix also will oversee MTVN's Digital Fusion program, which develops creative assets for ad campaigns the cut across the company's properties, as well as the Tribes demographic-focused vertical ad networks.
Previously Arrix had been MTVN's senior vice president of digital advertising sales for three years, and prior to that spent four years as Nickelodeon's vice president of digital ad sales. He also has worked at CBS SportsLine and Turner Broadcasting System.
