MTVN Tabs Dalva for Content SVP Post

MTV Networks Entertainment Group Wednesday named Eddie Dalva as its new senior vice president of content.

In this new position, Dalva will be responsible for pursuing international content opportunities and programming enterprises as well as finding strategic co-ventures and digital content partnerships.

Dalva’s primary focus will be Spike TV, although he will also represent sister Entertainment Group networks TV Land and Comedy Central, network officials said.

"I couldn't be more thrilled to announce Eddie's appointment to senior vice president of content for the MTV Networks Entertainment Group," John Cucci, executive vice president and chief operating officer, said in a statement. "There isn't anyone more capable of enhancing the value of our content and brands globally than he is."

Before taking the content SVP post, Dalva served as a consultant to Spike TV and TV Land, helping to successfully launch original programs such as DEA, Murder and Bullrun internationally. He was also responsible for putting Spike TV's Scream Awards and TV Land's She's Got the Look on television sets in 175 countries and over 70 countries.
