mtvU, ROO Team Up on College-Paper Sites

More than 500 online U.S. university newspapers in mtvU's College Media Network will be able to add a video player and customizable video channels to their sites following an agreement between the network and Internet-video specialist ROO Group.

The student-run publications will now have free access to a customizable, private-label video player and a variety of on-demand content channels -- including news, sports and entertainment -- from providers such as AP, Reuters and other brands.

The video players will be individually branded to reflect the look and feel of each college newspaper site and integrate seamlessly with a paper's online edition, and they will be powered by the ROO Video Exchange platform, the two parties said.
