Mulroney Added To ‘Northpole' Cast

Veteran thespian Dermot Mulroney has been added to the cast of The Hallmark Channel’s latest original Holiday original movie – Northpole: Open for Christmas – joining co-stars Lori Loughlin and Bailey Madison.

Mulroney, who has appeared in more than 65 movies, including My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Family Stone, The Grey, About Schmidt, Young Guns and August: Osage County, most recently starred as a series regular on recently canceled drama Crisis on NBC.

In the Hallmark Channel movie, Mulroney stars as Ian, a small town handyman who comes to the aid of Mackenzie, played by Loughlin (When Calls The Heart, Garage Sale Mystery, Full House), to help restore a cherished local inn she inherited, but wants to sell. Unbeknownst to Ian and Mackenzie, Santa sends his trusted elf Clementine (Madison) on a special mission to help Mackenzie rebuild and rediscover the magic of the holidays.

“We are honored to work with one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stars, Dermot Mulroney, who brings his charm and talent to a very special holiday movie alongside two of the network’s most beloved leading ladies, Lori Loughlin and Bailee Madison,” said Crown Media Family Networks executive vice president, programming Michelle Vicary in a statement.

Northpole: Open For Christmas is a Muse Entertainment production in association with Crown Media Productions. Executive Producer is Joel S. Rice.  Irene Latinsky is producer.  Douglas Barr directs from a script by Gregg Rossen and Brian Sawyer.
