Multichannel News is expanding its coverage of the cable industry with a video-streaming product called Multi Vision.
The service, available at Multichannel.com, contains a series of two-to-five-minute news stories featuring interviews with top media and broadband industry executives.
In anticipation of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing Summit, Multi Vision launched on July 6 newsmagazine-style segments with Insight Communications Co. CEO Michael Willner, ad agency topper Donny Deutsch and a roundtable discussion with cable industry leaders. Multi Vision will also produce daily news segments at this week’s CTAM confab in Boston. “The same broadband technology we cover week in and week out gives us a great outlet for better serving our readers and advertisers with a product that both informs and entertains,” said Reed Business Information Television Group publisher Chuck Bolkcom. “We’re raising the bar on coverage of the television and broadband sectors.”
The Multi Vision rollout is part of larger initiative of Multichannel News parent Reed Business Information to develop a portfolio of compelling, entertaining content for its stable of business-to-business Web sites, initially in its Media Division. The video streaming service will expand to other RBI titles, including Variety.com.
