Multiplatform Fall for Gemstar-TV Guide

Gemstar-TV Guide International will extend TV Guide’s Fall Preview and Returning Favorites segments across all of its platforms, the company said Friday.

Among the highlights of its coverage of the upcoming fall TV season:

TV Guide will feature more than 40 pages of coverage of the new fall lineup in its Fall Preview issue, including feature stories, question-and-answer sessions and exclusive color photography.

• TVGuide.com (tvguide.com) will feature information about 99 new and returning shows, along with more than 70 exclusive videos, including interviews, previews and behind-the-scenes coverage of new shows; as well as video provided by the networks.

• TV Guide Channel will air a special week of fall-preview programming beginning Sept. 10.

• Video-on-demand service TV Guide SPOT will begin offering sneak peaks at new fall shows Sunday.

“With scores of new and returning programs hitting the small screen all at once, the fall has always been an exciting, but somewhat overwhelming, time of year in television,” Gemstar-TV Guide CEO Rich Battista said in a prepared statement.

“With the rapid change taking place in our industry, this year seemed like exactly the right time to spread this leadership role in guidance and information across all of our media platforms,” he added.
