Myers Bullish on Upfront

Revenue from cable, broadcast and syndication upfront-advertising buys should increase by 6.6% this year, analyst Jack Myers predicted Monday.

Cable networks will generate $7.1 billion during the upfront season, up 11% from the $6.4 billion they scored during the 2004 upfront, Myers predicted.

The six broadcast networks are expected to generate $9.36 billion (up 3.2%), and syndication will generate $2.37 billion (up 8.2%) during the upfront season, Myers said.
