Myers Reports Inc. released a new study Wednesday among viewers of cable news
channels that shows strong acceptance for two-year-old Fox News Channel's Web site.
Myers reported that FNC's site ranked third in overall brand equity and value
among its users, behind only The Weather Channel's Weather.com and Techtv.com. MSNBC.com ranked fifth, followed by CNN.com at eighth, tied with ABCNEWS.com.
Myers' study of 821 online users also found that ABCNEWS.com led news Web
sites based on awareness, with CNN.com, Weather.com, MSNBC.com and CNBC.com rounding out the top five.
When asked which sites viewers had accessed within the past 30 days,
Weather.com led, followed by ABCNEWS.com, CNN.com and MSNBC.com (tied at
