KIRKLAND, WASH. - Myrio Corp.
and TVN Entertainment Corp. have formed an alliance designed to bundle existing voice services with more advanced DVD-quality movies and other video content using digital subscriber line technology.
Closely held Myrio said it will marry TVN's "Digital Content Express" transport system with its suite of interactive television and video-on-demand equipment for telephony companies.
Myrio said TVN's "ADONISS" distribution and management system will also allow its telephony clients to deploy interactive applications such as VOD without the rather cumbersome use of loading digital linear tapes at every headend.
The combined offering will also leverage TVN's programming library of licensed films and television shows.
