N2 Broadband is integrating its satellite 'MediaPath'
video-on-demand-delivery platform with Diva Systems Corp.'s VOD-server platform
and content-management solution.
N2 Broadband provides delivery of VOD movies for In Demand L.L.C. affiliates.
Diva's customers include Charter Communications Inc., Insight Communications Co.
Inc. and several AT&T Broadband markets.
Separately, Path 1 Network Technologies Inc. has unveiled new
Internet-protocol video multiplexers for the VOD market.
Path 1's 'Cx1400' and 'Cx1410' multiplexers interface with legacy cable
platforms while insuring DVD quality on an IP backbone, Path 1 said.
The Cx1400 allows up to 90 3-megabit-per-second to 4-mbps MPEG (Moving
Picture Expert Group) channels to be routed through a single IP link, while the
Cx1410 can handle 160 streams.
And VOD and digital ad-insertion supplier nCUBE announced an integration deal
with BigBand Networks Inc.
Under the deal, nCUBE will integrate its 'Digital Program Insertion' solution
with BigBand's 'Broadband Multimedia-Service Router.'
