NAMIC Names 25 th Anniversary Gala Chairs
The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications will celebrate its 25th anniversary under the direction of four of the cable industry’s top executives.
Benefit committee co-chairs for NAMIC’s 25th Anniversary Gala -- honoring Comcast Corp. chairman and CEO Brian L. Roberts and being held Dec. 1 at the Marriott Marquis in New York -- are: Matt Blank, chairman and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.; Debra Lee, CEO, Black Entertainment Television; Laureen Ong, president, National Geographic Channel; and Herb Scannell, vice chairman, MTV Networks.
The theme of the event will be, “Opening Minds, Cultivating Leaders,” NAMIC said.
“We could not have asked for a more outstanding group of champions for this event,” NAMIC executive vice president Kathy Johnson said in a prepared statement. “Each of them has been a part of the growth and development of the NAMIC organization, and they have again stepped up to assist us in marking this notable milestone.”
