NAMIC Turning 25, Honoring Waters

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications will celebrate its 25th anniversary May 17.

The group will also honor “2005 Paragon Award” recipient Tina Waters, vice president of customer-service operations at Comcast Cable Communications Inc., at a cocktail reception at Twenty21 in Philadelphia at 5:30 p.m. that day.

NAMIC said the Paragon Award was created in 2003 to honor a local NAMIC Philadelphia member for their commitment to multiethnic diversity in their organization and in the Philadelphia chapter.

The local chapter will also introduce its 2005 board of directors: president LaReita Hunter of QVC Inc.; VP Paul Siles of Comcast; secretary Lea Satterfield of Comcast; treasurer J.R. Harvey of Time Warner Cable; communications chair Renee Hauch of Carlsen Resources Inc.; and financial-affairs chair Marcus James of Motorola Inc.
