NAMIC Unveils 10th Executive Leadership Development Program Class

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications has announced the 10th class of its Executive Leadership Development Program.
Presented in partnership with the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, NAMIC's ELDP has graduated nearly 300 executives of color. The first session of the 2010-2011 class, 43 members strong, is scheduled for Oct. 12-15.
Targeting upper-middle executives of color - with a minimum of two years at the director level, and above -- the curriculum was customized for NAMIC by the Anderson School's Office of Executive Education Programs. In turn, NAMIC has overall stewardship of the program, including the selection of each class from the talented pool of industry nominees.
Over the course of four sessions, the NAMIC ELDP addresses many of the challenges faced by executives of color in the workplace and, equally as important, the key business competencies that all executives must acquire to build and sustain successful careers-careers anchored by flexible leadership, enlightened use of power, and skill in mining the riches of diverse teams.

"Over the past decade, ELDP has emerged as one of the most respected leadership development programs in our industry and we are honored to provide this vital resource for increasing the pipeline of executives of color," said NAMIC president Kathy Johnson in a statement.
