Nashville, Tenn.-area regulators delayed a vote on the transfer of the
region's Comcast Corp. cable franchise to AT&T Comcast until August.

That buys company lawyers some time to negotiate with regional consultant Tom
Creighton, who recommended that the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and
Davidson County's cable commission deny the transfer due to financial
concerns.

Creighton thinks AT&T Comcast's debt load will be too great, affecting
local service.
