National Geographic Channel has named Steven Schiffman executive president of
marketing and new media.
In his new post, Schiffman, who spent the past three years as executive vice
president of marketing at The Weather Channel, will oversee Nat Geo's consumer
and trade strategies, and be responsible for the brand's evolution onto
He will also create strategic alliances and marketing partnerships while
working closely with Fox Cable Networks to increase channel distribution.
Wonya Lucas will replace Schiffman at Weather.
