The National Cable & Telecommunications Association Friday announced the first wave of confirmed speakers for general-session panels at the 2006 National Show.
The NCTA's 55th annual Convention and International Exposition -- themed, “Cable: A Great American Success Story” -- will be held April 9-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
Confirmed speakers for the confab include: Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO, Comcast Corp.; Richard Parsons, chairman and CEO, Time Warner Inc.; Gary Forsee, CEO, Sprint Nextel Corp.; David Edmondson, CEO, RadioShack Corp.; and Malcolm Gladwell, best-selling author, The Tipping Point: How Little Things Make a Big Difference and Blink.
“As the industry's premiere showcase, the National Show each year highlights cable's record of innovation and success,” NCTA CEO Kyle McSlarrow said in a prepared statement. “So we can't think of a better theme to headline the show in reinforcing the many ways in which cable is revolutionizing America's telecommunications landscape and enhancing the use by Americans of the popular services our companies provide.”
