As part of the National Basketball Association’s All-Star Weekend, one-hour special The Read to Achieve Celebration is set to air on several cable, broadcast and Internet outlets Saturday, Feb. 14 at noon EST.
NBA Inside Stuff host and executive producer Ahmad Rashad and co-host Summer Sanders will host the special from the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Guests will include film and television star Hilary Duff; Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Ashanti; two-time Grammy-winning and multiplatinum-selling superstar Usher; singer FeFe Dobson; hip-hop artist and TV and film star Will Smith; NBA players LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Baron Davis, Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Corey Maggette; and Women’s NBA stars Lisa Leslie, Cheryl Ford and Sue Bird.
The Read to Achieve Celebration will be simulcast on ABC, Turner Network Television, Black Entertainment Television, Nick GAS Games and Sports for Kids, NBA TV, AOL for Broadband, RealNetworks Inc.’s "RealOne SuperPass," NBA.com's (www.nba.com) Inside Ticket, MTV (Canada), Toronto 1 and A-Channel (Canada).
The special will also air at a later date on Disney Channel, Telemundo and mun2.
