NBA TV To Cover `Midnight Madness' Pre-Season Practice


NBA TV will kick off its National Basketball Association pre-season training camp coverage next week with a live telecast of the Washington Wizards' "Midnight Tip-off" practice event.
NBA TV will follow the Wizards as they conduct the league's first-ever Midnight practice Sept. 28 at 12 a.m. from Fairfax, Va. The open practice will feature player introductions, interviews with Wizards' players, and coverage of the league's No. 1 draft pick John Wall's first his first NBA practice, according to network officials.
Prior to the Wizards practice, the digital network will provide coverage of the Los Angeles Lakers' training camp as part of the network reality series Real Training Camp: Los Angeles Lakers. The show, which premieres Sept. 27 at 5 p.m., will include two hours of coverage from the two-time defending NBA champions' practice, along with interviews from players and staff.
The Real Training Camp series will visit additional teams throughout the season, said network officials.
At 8 p.m. the network will air GameTime: Media Day, a one-hour special highlighting media happenings from around the league with on-site team interviews and commentary from NBA TV personalities Matt Winer, Chris Webber and Craig Sager Steve Smith, Brent Barry and Dennis Scott.
