NBC U Backs Dew Tour with FOD, Broadband

To support the Dew Action Sports Tour, NBC Universal Cable is supplying cable operators with free on-demand programming and broadband clips.

NBC U Cable officials said participating affiliates include Comcast, Mediacom Communications, Verizon Communications, Bresnan Communications, Buckeye CableSystem and Knology.

The affiliates will receive one to two hours of FOD programming per month, as well as three to five broadband clips. In addition, NBC U Cable is supplying operators with cross-channel spots, print and online materials, tickets and on-site presence at tour stops.

NBC and cable cousin USA Network will air 32 hours of tour programming this year, highlighting skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross action from five tour stops, the first of which was held in Louisville, Ky., June 22-25. The tour next rolls into Denver July 13-16.
