NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Manchester United-Arsenal match finished first on the digital side of the docket for a Sunday game and second among its cable telecasts.
With Robbie Van Persie’s heading in the 27th minute the difference versus his old side, ManU’s 1-0 triumph over Arsenal on Nov. 10 averaged 803,000 viewers on NBCSN, according to Nielsen data.
That trailed the 852,000 who saw ManU-Manchester City on Sept. 22, which remains NBCSN's most-watched Barclay Premier League match. ESPN’s April 30, 2012 presentation of the Manchester Darby drew 1.03 million, the largest cable audience for a Premier League contest.
According to NBC Sports Group officials, fans live-streamed more than 1.63 million minutes of the Red Devils-Gunners action, the most-ever for a Sunday match, via NBC Sports Live Extra, the group's live streaming service for desktops, tablets and smartphones.
